Indian Motorcycle Tests Prototype Chief

The Indian Motorcycle Company is testing prototypes of the 2009 Indian Chief and is aiming for a fall 2008 release. Though Indian Motorcycle Chairman Stephen Julius initially hoped to have the new line out in late 2007, Julius made it clear that the company would not hurry to market until the bike met their high level of expectations. Dennis Hopper Joins Quentin Tarantino in New Biker Flick

Dennis Hopper after four decades since the release of 'Easy Rider' has joined the cast on the new film 'Hell Ride' produced by Quentin Tarantino. Due to be released sometime in 2008, Hopper can be seen on a pre-World War II made Indian Four motorcycle with sidecar. Death Catches up to Evel

Motorcycle Daredevil Evel Knievel Dies at Age 69 - Evel Knievel, the hard-living motorcycle daredevil whose exploits made him an international icon in the 1970s, died Friday, November 30th. He was 69.

Immortalized in the Washington's Smithsonian Institution as "America's Legendary Daredevil," Knievel was best known for a failed 1974 attempt to jump an Idaho canyon on a rocket-powered cycle and a spectacular crash at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Click here for story

Replica of Burt Munro's Record-Breaking Indian on Display

One of two working replicas made at the Britten Motorcycle factory in Christchurch, the 'Munro Special' starred in Roger Donaldson's film, 'The World's Fastest Indian' will be on display 'Down-Under' in Whangarei at the Whangarei Museum and Heritage Park. Indian Motorcycle Collection Donated

SPRINGFIELD - The owner of the closed Indian Motocycle Museum is donating her multi-million dollar collection of antique motorcycles and memorabilia to the Springfield Museums Association to assure it will be remain in the city where the historic company was founded more than a century ago.

Esta K. Manthos, 91, who has traveled to all 50 states by motorcycle, collected bikes made by Indian Motocycle Co. for many decades, along with thousands of biker toys and mementos.
